Mystery Yarn Swap

Look at the wonderful cowls, scarves, shawls and mitts guild members created for each other over the last 3 months!

At January’s meeting, the ten guild members who chose to participate put a small skein of yarn in a brown paper bag and handed it to Meika, the Swap coordinator. She shrewdly assigned each bag to a different Swap participant, who had 3 months to transform the yarn they received into … something. Projects were unveiled and returned to the yarn owner at April’s meeting. We say lace, brioche, weaving. Techniques ranged from traditional embellishments and lace to modern color combinations and intentional pooling.
