Calling New Knitters!
To encourage a new generation of knitters and to support those who want to learn more or are intimidated by expert knitters, the Guild has begun hosting a weekly get-together to knit and learn new skills together. We invite new knitters, those returning to knitting again after time away, and knitters who are looking for a little support or a few answers, to join a few Guild members and veteran knitters in the New Knitters Group!
Current Meeting Location
The group meets at one of the Guild member yarn shops each Saturday. It’s meeting at The Wool Cabin, located at 2020 East 3300 South, Salt Lake City from 10:00 to noon every Saturday through November 12. Contact the store at 801-466-1811 for more information.
Last month the group met at Unraveled Sheep in Sandy, Utah. Locations for future months will be posted here on the website.

If you’re a LYS owner, and would like to host a month of new knitters and the shop traffic that they bring, please contact Susan Lewin. Likewise, if you’re a guild member an would like to help new knitters gain fluency in our craft, Susan would love your help!
